The Hellshire beach was once one of the major hotspots for family oriented entertainment and relaxation for the citizens of Portmore, Kingston and Jamaica at large. However, over the last few years, this hotspot has lots its popularity due to the erosion of the beach that has been taking place. As a result, the beach is low left at the hands of mother nature to take back as much as we have taken from the beach in respect to profitability, entertainment and relaxation.

The erosion of the beach has caused a lot of economic, physical and social impact on the environment. Therefore the beach needs our attention by way of a action plan which will help the beach recover healthily.

There was once a plan of action to rehabilitate the beach however, that has been long forgotten. Therefore this petition serves to create awareness and urgency for the rehabilitation of the Hellshire Beach before the ocean takes all what is left of it.
