Allow braids in schools

Braids are seen as a natural protective hairstyle for many black people. Most students relax their hair because it's easier to maintain and style in the mornings. Braids also require very little maintenance and doesn't require chemicals that will damage the natural hair. White and Asian students can wear their hair as long as they want and in any style, so why are black students are being told not to wear braids and locs? The style of your hair doesn't change the work you produce, and it certainly isn't distracting anyone.
