Whereas, the deteriorating state of Jamaica\'s roads has resulted in significant damage to vehicles, particularly to front-end suspension components and tires. Whereas, these damages impose a substantial financial burden on Jamaican motorists. Whereas, the government has a responsibility to ensure the well-being of its citizens and to mitigate the impact of infrastructure challenges. Therefore, we, the undersigned Jamaican motorists, respectfully petition the Government of Jamaica to: Grant temporary duty-free status on the importation of the following vehicle suspension and tire components until such time as the road infrastructure is significantly improved:

Control Arms
Ball Joints
Tie Rod Ends
Sway Bar Links
Shock Absorbers
 Struts
Tires

This temporary measure will provide much-needed relief to Jamaican motorists, alleviating the financial burden caused by frequent road damage. By taking this step, the government can demonstrate its commitment to the well-being of its citizens and alleviate the economic hardship faced by many.
