The Troy Bridge is now open!
Oon Friday, we officially opened this important crossing to the people of Manchester and Trelawny, restoring a vital route that has long supported daily movement, family life and local activity.
Thank you to residents for their patience and support throughout the project. The Troy Bridge is now in full use.

I was pleased to welcome the officers and crew of the USS Nimitz to Jamaica during their visit to Kingston Harbour. As an island nation, Jamaica’s future is closely tied to the sea. Our trade, energy security, and economic growth all depend on safe and secure maritime routes.
That is why strong partnerships and regional cooperation remain so important. We continue to strengthen maritime security, promote stability, and create greater opportunities for growth across our region.

Prime Minister Dr. the Most Hon. Andrew Holness has confirmed that the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority Bill has now been assented into law, formally establishing the framework for the country’s accelerated reconstruction and resilience programme following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
The new law provides the legal foundation for the work of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA), which will coordinate and drive major reconstruction and resilience projects.

Jamaica continues to rely heavily on the men and women of the Jamaica Constabulary Force as they work every day to protect our citizens, maintain order, and respond to crime and community needs.
Over the years, my administration has made sustained investments in the JCF, including training, equipment, technology, infrastructure, and operational support. The force has now reached its full establishment of 40,000 officers, strengthening its ability to serve across the country with greater presence and response capacity.
As the JCF expands, I emphasize the importance of discipline, accountability, communication, and continuous training to ensure high standards are maintained. I remain committed to supporting the ongoing development of the JCF as we work to build a safer Jamaica.

The continued development of Jamaica’s real estate industry is important to strengthening our economy, expanding investment opportunities, and creating sustainable communities across the country.
My discussions with the Realtors Association of Jamaica focused on the importance of responsible growth within the sector and how continued collaboration can support national development and greater opportunities for Jamaicans.
