Prime Minister Holness to Deliver Address to the United Nations High Level Event as Co-convener of the FfID

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is set to address the United Nations High-Level virtual event on Jobs and Social Protection for Poverty Eradication and a Sustainable Recovery, today, 28 September. The event will commence at 8:00 a.m. Jamaica time. As co-convener of the FfID, Prime Minister Holness will address several matters on Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond Initiative. The event will be chaired by Secretary-General of the United Nations, His Excellency António Guterres. Several heads of state and multi-world leading agency heads and stakeholders will take part in the high-level meeting. The event is in keeping with the UN sustainable development goal agenda; ensuring no one is left behind especially in light of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Members of the public can stream the event on http://webtv.un.org/ or on Facebook at AndrewHolnessJM.
