Climate resilience financing is especially crucial for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region given our vulnerability to hurricanes and adverse weather events, as well as development financing, energy security, the global economic climate, disaster response, security, and managing inflation for the enhanced quality of life of our people, were among several issues on our agenda for discussion during this morning’s bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.

As your Prime Minister, I continue to represent your interests internationally, and I thank Canada for their continued partnership in pursuit of collaborative opportunities for the mutual benefit of both our people.
