Yesterday’s meeting with the President of the World Bank, Mr. Ajaypal Singh Banga, and the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Mr. Ilan Goldfajn, presented us with an opportunity to reinforce our partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Jamaica is committed to pursuing sustainable and inclusive development, and we recognize the critical role that the World Bank and the IDB can play in this endeavour. We welcome the partnership of these crucial institutions in our efforts to prioritize key areas such as climate change, infrastructure development, renewable energy, education, and healthcare.
