Inception Ceremony for the Land Administration Capacity Enhancement Project (LACEP)

The Government of Jamaica signed a landmark US$9M agreement with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) today, May 12, 2026, at an inception ceremony held at Jamaica House. The agreement marks the formal launch of the Land Administration Capacity Enhancement Project (LACEP), a major milestone in Jamaica’s modernization journey.

The project, valued at approximately JM$1.4 billion and implemented in collaboration with the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX) and the University of Seoul, will establish the Land Administration Innovation Centre (LAIC) at 84 Harbour Street, Kingston, delivering structured training and technical development to policymakers, managers, and operational officers across Jamaica’s public sector.
