There is an increasing concern in Jamaica surrounding the number of children that has autism. Some may say that this increase is observed post the Covid pandemic. There is also concern as there is inadequate support and resources provided in Jamaica to help with speech and behavioural therapy. The cost associated with therapy for children is very expensive which makes it difficult to give children with autism the help that they deserve. Greater attention is required as a nation to address this matter.
