Prime Minister Holness Visits Troy Bridge
What hasn’t happened in years is happening now and I am so proud that the Troy Bridge which has been a source of frustration for many, is now getting the attention it needs.
It was a long process due to procurement issues, but finally, we are making progress.
On my recent visit to the site, I received an update on the bridge’s progress, and I’m excited about what it will mean for our people.
This two-lane bridge, with sidewalks and a solid foundation, will greatly improve safety and connectivity for residents and businesses across Trelawny, Manchester, and St. Elizabeth. It’s designed to serve reliably through all weather conditions, connecting communities and boosting local commerce.
Projects like these require careful planning. We are making sure this bridge is technically sound, economically viable, and environmentally safe. By following strict standards, we are ensuring it will stand strong for years to come.
The project is fully funded by our national budget, reflecting our commitment to better infrastructure without adding heavy debt.
This is part of our mission to create a Jamaica where our people feel the impact of responsible economic management in their daily lives.
