UNESCO Artificial Intelligence Readiness Assessment Report for Jamaica

Yesterday, we officially received the UNESCO Artificial Intelligence Readiness Assessment Report for Jamaica, an important roadmap that supports our journey toward a digital future. This report gives us a clear understanding of where we are and what steps we must take to ensure that, as technology advances, every Jamaican can benefit.

The findings show that we have already put key systems in place, including strong data protection laws and growing digital access across the country. At the same time, it highlights the need to strengthen research, infrastructure, and access so that innovation reaches communities across our country.

For us, this means building the skills, systems, and policies to develop and manage technology in a responsible way. We are committed to creating an AI framework that improve lives and create opportunities for our people.
