Official Opening of the Anchovy Police Station in St. James
Your Government has been making major investments to keep Jamaicans safe, from better equipment and training for our police to modern, well-equipped facilities. These investments are paying off, with murders down and communities beginning to feel the change.
Today we marked another milestone in the development of our national security infrastructure with the official opening of the Anchovy Police Station in St. James. This new station will give our officers the resources and environment they need to serve you better, respond faster, and work more closely with the community to prevent crime.
We know that when our communities are safer, our lives are better. Children can walk to school without fear, businesses can grow, and we can enjoy the simple peace of living without looking over our shoulders. That is the Jamaica we are building for you.
